Working Principals
When the engine is cool the thermostat is closed. This allows the coolant circulate through the engine. When the engine warms up, then the thermostat begins to open allowing required amount of coolant (according to customer specifications) to pass through the radiator to regulate the engine temperature within the desired operating range and then to keep it constant.

The operation of the thermostat controlled by the thermal element which is precisely formulated thermally expansive wax fill in a heat conducting copper cup. As the engine warms up, specially formulated wax that is calibrated to operate within OE requirement starts to melt, to transform from its solid state to its liquid state and expand. This heat provoked movement pushes against a piston (inside a rubber diaphragm) and forces the piston upward to open the thermostat and lets the coolant flow to the radiator measurably to ensure gradual cooling. With controlled open/close movements thermostat stabilizes the desired operation temperature.
As being one of the few thermostat & thermal element manufacturers in the world, Kırpart has been manufacturing thermostats since 1978 for the needs of original equipment. Kırpart is capable of designing and developing thermostats from the initial planning phase to ultimate implementation in accordance with original equipment specifications.
With the expert knowledge of wax element technology, Kırpart manufactures thermostats with the operating temperature range between 40C – 100C for the original equipment customers including automotive, marine, snow motorbike engine and boiler manufacturers
Aluminum bodies / housings for some of our thermostats are of our own production manufactured in our foundry to maintain maximum quality level.
Being an OE quality manufacturer with cost advantages Kırpart markets its products in 30 different countries world wide.
